The inaugural edition of the Legends League Cricket is all set to commence from 20 January and three teams- Asia Lions, India Maharaja, and World Giants- will battle it out for the coveted title. The legends of the game will be back in action taking on each other. All three teams will play four games each and the final over a time period of 10 days.
The complete squads for the three teams have also been confirmed and the names only add to the excitement of the fans. Indian legends like Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh will feature for India Maharaja, while the Asia Lions squad has Shoaib Akhtar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Asghar Afghan. Bangladesh legend Habibul Bashar was added a few days ago and the former Tigers' captain is all set to roar in front of his rivals.
While the squads of Asia Lions have players from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the World Giants Squad has players from England, Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe, West Indies, New Zealand, and South Africa. On the other hand, the India Maharaja squad features former Indian cricketers. And Asia Lions' Habibul Bashar thinks that this will give India Maharajas an edge over their opponents in the tournament.
While answering a question to SportsTiger, Bashar emphasized the team bonding the India Mahrajas' players will share and how they will be benefitted from it. "India Maharajas will have an edge in the tournament because of the team bonding," said Habibul Bashar.
