Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): Most players have played together in various tournaments. We knew it was going to be a great game of cricket. They had a pretty competitive total. We stood there, building the partnerships and cashing in on some moments, some matchups. Mitchell's character definitely stood out today. He batted beautifully in a high-pressure situation. T20 cricket is a game of small margins. Depending on the surface, the short side - these things can be match-defining. Neesham came out and hit the ball hard, that's what he does. He hanged the momentum of the game. A fantastic knock from Daryll, hit the big shots when it counted. We'll be following that match - going to be fantastic. We know we have another challenge coming up. We would start looking into that soon.
Daryl Mitchell (Player of the match): Obviously a bit of a whirlwind. Nice to get the job done. It was a bit challenging at the start. It was two-paced. Conway batted beautifully in the middle and set the platform. Neesham came in the end and struck to all parts & that helped us. We knew one or two big overs would bring the match our way. Luckily, we got a few. It was amazing how well Neesham struck the ball. Lucky enough to get across the line. With what's going around in the world, it is pretty cool for him to come around and watch this game.
