After a thrilling spectacle of an ODI World Cup last year, the 50-overs format wasn’t quite in the limelight in comparison to Test and T20I cricket, due to no ICC event at the senior level. But still, in the limited number of ODI matches played all over the world over the course of the last 11 months or so, there have been a lot of quality batting performances from different players in different teams, setting the stage for a highly entertaining ICC Champions Trophy early next year.

Travis Head (154* vs England)

travis head ​​​​​​ During the first ODI of the five-match series against Australia at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Travis Head scored a scintillating 154* runs in just 129 balls with 20 fours and five sixes, to help the visitors chase down a 315-run total in just 44 overs with three wickets in hand. The left-handed batter has been in incredible form in the last few months in all formats of the game, demolishing bowling attacks irrespective of the situations and pitch conditions in front of him.
