The current full-time white-ball captain of New Zealand, Mitchell Santner, delivered an outstanding spell during the second Test of the New Zealand tour of India 2024 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The slow left-arm orthodox spinner took seven wickets in the Indian first innings, resulting in India getting all out on 156. He did not stop there, and took six wickets in the second innings, to beat India on their home turf in a Test series after 12 years. The 32-year-old was named “Player of the Match” for this remarkable performance.
