Known as one of the premier 50-over tournaments, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, is happening currently with most of the top players in world cricket being a part of it. With eight of the best cricketing countries in the world competing for supremacy in the Champions Trophy, there have been many exceptional performances with the bat, ball, and in the field, and the fans are in line for the same in the next couple of weeks.

Although, it is important to note that some of the top players are in the second half of their careers, and with the ODI format not being the top priority except for the time when an ICC event happens, the ongoing Champions Trophy could easily be the final one for some of them. In this article, SportsTiger looks at the four Pakistan players who might be playing their last ICC Champions Trophy currently.

Pakistani players who might be playing their last ICC Champions Trophy

Mohammad Rizwan

mohammad rizwan gives up on pakistan s hope to win champions trophy Mohammad Rizwan, the captain of Pakistan, has failed to lead from the front for Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, both with bat and in the captaincy department, which has meant that they could be knocked out of the tournament without making the semi-finals after defeats to New Zealand and India. The batting style of the 32-year-old is quite one dimensional, which puts him at risk of losing his spot in the limited-overs team of Pakistan the next time this tournament comes around in four years’ time.

Fakhar Zaman

fakhar zaman sportstiger Fakhar Zaman, who is 34 years of age, might have already participated in the last Champions Trophy of his career after suffering a tournament-ending injury during the opening match for Pakistan against New Zealand. With him getting by the years, and his fitness under the scanner, it is highly unlikely that the centurion of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final could make the tournament in four years time.

Haris Rauf

At 31 years of age, such a decision from the pacer has already cost him a place in the Test side, and it could turn out to be the case in ODI cricket if he completely shifts his focus to franchise T20 cricket, where he first became famous a few years prior.

Babar Azam

With that, the 30-year-old might not be able to make the Champions Trophy in four years’ time, if he isn’t able to bring more attacking flair to his batting in 50-overs cricket.
