After a delay in getting visas to travel to India for the ODI World Cup 2023, the Pakistan cricket team have finally received their visas and will depart to Dubai on Tuesday before reaching Hyderabad for their World Cup preparations. Ahead of getting their visas, a Pakistan journalist criticised India by comparing the treatment Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan is getting with the 1992 World Cup champions. However, the journalist was slammed on social media by Afghanistan fan girl Wazhma Ayoubi, who is also an avid Team India fan.

Pakistan journalist Farid Khan, who has been a constant critic of Team India and its management, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and slammed India's treatment of the Pakistan Cricket team and also compared the No.1 T20I bowler Rashid Khan. His comparison of the Afghanistan all-rounder and the Pakistan team led Wazhma Ayoubi to respond in an identical way as she slammed the journalist with a social media post.

Farid wrote, "Rashid Khan is flying to India for the World Cup." He added, "Hum se better treatment toh Rashid bhai ko mil raha India se. Anyways, best wishes to him and Afghanistan," which can be translated to "Rashid is getting better treatment than Pakistan."

Wazhma was quick to take the matter into her own hands and gave three reasons why India treated Rashid Khan and Afghanistan better than Pakistan. She wrote, "Better treatment kyun nahi milega? I am sure you already know, but let me refresh your memory.  A: He deserves it as the most loved Afghan cricketer in India and the world.  B: He holds many records under his belt, currently holding the numero uno position as the best T20 bowler in the world. What have you accomplished?  C: India and Afghanistan bhai bhai."

Pakistan fans and analysts criticised India for delaying their visas and hampering their preparations for the World Cup as they had to cancel their team bonding session in Dubai. Pakistan will travel to India from Dubai two days before their first warm-up game against Australia on Friday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
