Alastair Cook, who was last seen playing for his national team England in September 2018, is set to retire from all forms of cricket. Cook is currently playing for the Essex team in County Championship Division One. Alastair Cook has played a total of 350 matches in First-Class cricket for a period of 20 years overall and apart from that he has played 178 games in List-A cricket also.

Alastair Cook made his Test debut for the England team in March 2006 while playing against India at Nagpur and a few months later (in June month) he also made his ODI debut for England while facing Sri Lanka at Manchester. Alastair Cook also played 4 T20I matches and 32 T20 games overall. Recently, reports have emerged that Cook will take retirement from all forms of cricket at the end of the 2023 county season.
