Australia batter David Warner shared an emotional message for his family ahead of his team's Pakistan tour. He wrote on social media that it's always hard to say goodbye to my girls.
"Always hard to say goodbye to my girls! We've had lots of fun over the last few months, but now it's time to get back into it for a few weeks before we reunite once again. I will miss you all soo much," Warner wrote, sharing a photo collage with his family on Instagram.
Warner is likely to reunite with his family only after a few months as he will also head straight to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the Pakistan tour. The T20 tournament is set to commence on March 26. Warner along with some of his national teammates will be missing the first few games of IPL due to their international commitment. Warner, who has led SunRisers Hyderabad in the past, was bought by Delhi Capitals at the IPL mega auction for a fee of INR 6.25 crore.
Meanwhile, Australia and Pakistan are set to play three Tests, three ODIs and a one-off T20I. The first Test is scheduled at Rawalpindi from March 4 to 8. The second Test is set to be played in Karachi from 12-16 while Lahore will host the final Test from March 21-25. As per the match schedule, all four white-ball games and the one-off T20I will be played in Rawalpindi.
This will be a historic all-format tour as Australia tours Pakistan for the first time in 24 years. The Aussies players won't have experience playing in these tracks as they haven't visited Pakistan since 1998. However, Aussies are much stronger when compared to Pakistan as they are the top-ranked Test team at the moment. After a dominant show in the Ashesh, Aussies are expected to do well in the upcoming Test matches.
All eyes will be on David Warner, who was more consistent in the last few matches and looked good in their 4-0 Ashes triumph. The 36-year old batsman has an impressive Test record to prove apart from splendid his limited-overs numbers.
