KL Rahul and Virat Kohli began the reserve day cautiously, looking to target just the bad deliveries. But as the overs progressed, none of the batters were ready to lose their wickets and the runs kept piling on the scoreboard. The duo put on an unbeaten 233-run partnership. KL, who was playing his first match after a long injury break of about five months, was the first to reach three figures. He brought up a well-made hundred in 100 deliveries.
King Kohli followed behind him shortly and brought up his 77th hundred in international cricket. He also became the fifth man to complete 13,000 ODI runs with this knock. Kohli is particularly fond of scoring against Pakistan, as he played numerous match-winning knocks against the neighbours.
