The India men's and women's teams both secured bronze medals in the 3000m speed skating relay race on Monday at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou. The women's team includes Sanjana Bathula, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu, and Aarathy Kasthuri Raj while the men's team featured Aryanpal Singh, Anandkumar, Siddhant Rahul, and Vikram Rajendra.
The Indian quartet of Sanjana, Karthika, Heeral, and Aarathy clocked a stellar time of 4:34.861 to finish on the podium as Chinese Taipei (4:19.447) defeated South Korea, who clocked 4:21.146, to win the gold in the women's team event.
On the other hand, the men's team comprising Aryanpal, Anandkumar, Siddhant, and Vikram completed the race with an incredible time of 4:10.128 and clinched the bronze medal. Coincidentally, the three nations to finish at the podium are similar to the women's teams.
Chinese Taipei clinched the gold with 4:05.692 while South Korea finished second with 4:05.702 in the 3000m speed skating relay men's team event at the Asian Games 2023.
