Indian shooters continued their brilliant form at the Asian Shooting Championships as India’s Shriyanka Sadangi earned the 13th Paris Olympics quota in shooting. The Indian shooter finished fourth in women’s 50m 3P at the Asian Shooting Championships, underway in Changwon, Korea on Tuesday, October 31.

While she finished sixth in the qualification round with a score of 588 to enter the finals, she later shot 440.5 to finish fourth. While China claimed the top two spots, Korean player sealed the third place. Additionally, with this Paris Olympics berth, India have now sealed all eight possible quotas in rifle events.

Talking about other Indian shooters at the event, Ashi Chouksey and Ayushi Poddar reached the final but finished sixth and seventh respectively. In the qualification round, Sift Kaur finished at the top of the standings with 592 points, but was ineligible for the finals as he was playing a RPO.
While Shriyanka secured the second Olympic quote from India in Women’s 50m rifle 3 positions, Sift Kaur was the first to seal the 2024 Paris Olympics berth after securing brilliant finish at the 2023 World Championships.
Overall, India has earned six 2024 Paris Olympics berths at the Asian Shooting Championships with Anish Bhanwala being the last one to earn the berth.
