Australia’s prolific batter Marnus Labuschagne carried on his stellar form with the bat as he slammed third consecutive century in a two-match Test series against West Indies. The 28-year-old however later go out with a score of 163 in the first innings of the 2nd Test.

Top-seeded batter started the bilateral series on a high as he smashed 204 off just 350 deliveries in the 1st innings of the 1st Test match, but he bettered his figures with yet another superb unbeaten 104 in the 2nd innings of the match. With 163 in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test, Labuschagne has three consecutive centuries in three innings of the series.

Meanwhile, the Australian batter won hearts for his kind gesture towards a young fan who was attending the 2nd Test match with a ‘Marnus please sign hat’ placard. The picture of the kid and the No. 1 Test batter is now doing rounds on social media.

Speaking of the series, Australia notched up exciting 164-run victory over West Indies on the back of impressive batting performances from Steve Smith, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne. Nathan Lyon was the standout bowler for the hosts as he bagged eight wickets and was instrumental in his side clinching victory. The hosts have now taken 1-0 lead in the two-match series.

Meanwhile, Australian cricketers continued their dominance in the series as they have already accumulated 436/4 till the 1st session of the Day 2. Marnus Labuschagne (163) and Travis Head (170*) have contributed significantly in the 1st innings.
