The round 4 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023, hosted by KRAFTON India, saw 16 teams qualify through to the semi-final after four days of action culminating on September 24, Sunday. Before round 5 of BGIS starts next month, 64 teams will compete in the loser bracket to determine the 16 more teams to advance to the semi-final with a new card system as per the reports, beginning on September 28, Thursday.

Out of the 64 teams in the loser bracket for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, 48 have lost out in round 4, while the other 16 have done the same in round 3. These 64 teams will be divided into four groups of 16 teams each, with the four teams each advancing through to the semi-final of BGIS, after four days of gruelling action culminating on October 1, which can be seen live on JioCinema.
As per the report from Insidesport, the new card system for the loser bracket will allow the matches to be more competitive. The three pointers about the new card system read, “Teams have the option to select either a Position Card or a Finish Card,” “Choosing the Position Card will result in a 1.5x multiplier on their points for that match,” and “Opting for the Finish Card will grant a 2x multiplier on their points for that match.”
Some of the teams set to face each other in the loser bracket for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series are Nade Officials, MICI Esports, SPY Esports, BR Vintage, Infamous Hackers, Metal Wings, Redemption Crew, and Team FLY Esports. Also, some of the teams who will be taking part in the semi-final of the BGIS are Team Soul, TWM Gaming, Night OWLS, and WSG Gaming, Blind Esports, GlitchXReborn, Gladiators Esports, and Autobotz Esports.
