Clash of Clans fans, get ready for the year’s biggest tournament. Clash of Clans World Championship 2022 is all set to kick off on September 23 as eight teams will battle it out for the ultimate glory. The organizers have adopted a brand-new format and a bigger prize pool for 2022. So, it is going to be bigger than ever.
In a similar fashion to Clash Royale esports, Supercell is collaborating with community tournaments and including them in the official championship. There will be a total of four community tournaments played before the World Championship and the winner of each will get the Golden Ticket to the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals 2022. The remaining four tickets to the world finals will be given out during a six-week event by Supercell later this year.
The main event is all set to be held in Helsinki, Finland with match tickets available on Supercell’s Clash Fest Eventbrite page, priced at US$50 for each General Admission ticket. These tickets will be valid to get an entry to both the Clash of Clans World Championship and Clash Royale League World Finals for three days from Friday, September 23 until Sunday, September 25.

What will be the format for CoC World Championships 2022?
The eight participating teams will battle it out in a double-elimination format, where teams will be eliminated after two losses. All matches will be played through Friendly War Challenges, outside of Tournament Hub. Each team will be provided with a level 10 Clan which they will use during the main event.

Which teams are participating in the main event?
While four teams- Tribe Gaming, X-Team Esports, M.S Esports, STRUT esports- have been decided based on the results of community tournaments, the rest four will be decided after the ‘Six Weeks of Clash Mayhem’.
What will be the prize pool?
Supercell is offering a whopping US$1 million prize pool this year. While the 1st rank holder will get USD 300,000, the second rank team will be awarded USD 150,000. The third and fourth teams will get USD 100,000 and USD 80,000 respectively. The last four teams (5th and 6th) and (7th and 8th) will be awarded USD 60,000 and USD 40,000.
