Australia is hosting Pakistan for a white-ball tour where the Men in Green clinched the three-match ODI series by 2-1 margin, whereas they were handed a crushing defeat in the T20I series with one match underway at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. With the third T20I underway, a video from the second T20I went viral where former skipper Babar Azam was seen being trolled by fans.

The match, which was played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Sydney on Saturday, November 16, drama erupted in one of the corners of the stadium, involving former white-ball captain of the Men in Green, Babar Azam. The Pakistan batter who was positioned near the boundary ropes in the first innings, found himself targeted by trollers.

Although the exact details of this moment are not known, a group of fans taunted Babar Azam as they can be heard shouting, “Have some shame, (you have no place in T20s) T20 mein teri jagah nahi banti, go back.” These remarks from fans in the crowd, drew sharp reaction, leaving the 30-year-old visibly angered. Moreover, Babar Azam turned and gave a death stare after comments made by fans from the sidelines.

Thereafter, the fans continued mocking the top-order batter, urging him to stare again and accusing him for dropping crucial catches. It is to be noted that Babar Azam hasn’t had a great outing down under in the three-match T20I series. While he was dismissed at the score of 3(2) and 3(3) in the first two T20Is respectively, went on to put 41 runs off 28 deliveries in final T20I of the series. During his stay of 28 deliveries in the third T20I in Hobart, Babar Azam smashed four boundaries, scoring at a strike rate of 146.43.
