At the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the main event of the latest DAZN Boxing PPV belonged to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk as he successfully defended the WBO, WBA, and WBC Heavyweight Championships after defeating Englishman Tyson Fury. Shortly after, England’s Daniel Dubois entered the ring, and got into the face of Oleksandr Usyk for a rematch, following his previous loss versus him from last year.

During his latest world title defence, Oleksandr Usyk showcased his astuteness and willingness to get the better of his opponent, which led to a comprehensive victory over Tyson Fury after all the three judges scored it 116-112. The second straight win for Usyk versus Fury was also assessed by an unofficial A.I., which scored it in favour of the champion 118-112, while former champion Anthony Joshua was also an unofficial judge for DAZN, scoring the fight 115-114, a bit closer in comparison to the official judges.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois in their first meeting last year

While soaking in his win inside the ring, Oleskandr Usyk was interrupted by his former opponent Daniel Dubois, asking for a rematch after getting beaten in their first meeting in 2023. Dubois had appealed against the decision of the referee Luis Pabon, who had called one of his punches on Usky an accidental low blow in the fifth round before the champion knocked him out in the ninth round in Wrocław, Poland.

Daniel Dubois was quoted as saying, as per Sky Sports, “Usyk! I want my revenge. Well done on tonight. God bless. I want my revenge for the robbery last time. Let's get it. Let's go. Where's Frank [Warren]? Make it happen!” Notably, Oleksandr Usyk had given up his IBF Heavyweight Championship, which was won by Daniel Dubois after stunning Anthony Joshua a few months ago, and there is a chance of the Ukrainian liking the idea of unifying all his championships once again.

Moreover, Oleksandr Usyk was happy about retaining his championship, and said, “He [Tyson Fury] is a great fighter, he is a great opponent. An unbelievable 24 rounds for my career. Thank you so much.”
