The IPL 2022 Mega Auction saw aggressive bidding from Mumbai Indians management. The five-time champions were in no mood to sit back as Zaheer Khan was there to lead the charge for MI. But they tried getting a few of their ex-players back in the hut. MI bidding for Quinton de Kock and Trent Boult for a while but found the price too high so decided to stay put. They did not make a purchase in the first half. However, they came all guns blazing for Ishan Kishan and spent 15.25 CR on him.
