Cricket South Africa announced a 15-member squad for the white-ball leg of the multi-format series against Australia. South Africa will tour Australia for a multi-format series consisting of three T20Is, a three-match ODI series, and one Test match. The series will kick off on January 27 in Canberra and conclude with a Test match on January 18 in Perth. The cricket board named Proteas Women’s 15-player squad for the white-ball leg of the series on January 15, Monday.

The team will be led by Laura Wolvaardt, and she will be joined by talented faces including some Women’s Big Bash League stars Marizanne Kapp and Chloé Tryon. The squad has Ayanda Hlubi, Hollywoodbets Dolphins fast bowler, getting her maiden ODI national call. Hlubi made her senior team debut in the third T20 International (T20I) against Bangladesh in Kimberley in December 2023.

Ahead of the Australia tour, the Proteas Women's head coach Hilton Moreeng said, “It’s a very competitive squad. It is a mixture of youngsters and experience, and everyone is looking forward to it. It was a very good year for us as a team in 2023, so we look forward to building on that. We finished off well with the tour against Bangladesh and the camp was very good. The weather is not something we can control but we got what we wanted out of it, such as the education around the game, touching base regarding the red ball, and what we want to achieve.”
