Lionel Messi to miss Barcelona’s 125th anniversary celebrations due to Inter Miami’s commitments

While the club plans to celebrate its 125th anniversary in full glitz and glory, Lionel Messi might miss the same due to some commitments of his current club. According to reports by Sport, Messi won’t be a part of the celebrations as he is scheduled to play for Inter Miami at the same time. Notably, the MLS Cup playoffs are currently on and Inter Miami are set to lock horns with Orlando City or Charlotte FC on the same weekend as Barcelona’s anniversary event.

While the news development is disappointing for the club and Messi’s fans who would want to see him in the event, the European football schedule and United States football schedule are clashing. Considering this, Messi is required to opt for only one.
