Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr FC is all set to welcome Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo at their service as the latter has signed a two-year contract of worth $200 million per year with the club. That signing has made Ronaldo the highest-paid player in the world. Notably, Ronaldo’s contract with his former club Manchester United was ended mutually after the Portugal star featured in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he took a jibe at the club, its owner,s and manager Erik ten Hag.
“History in the making,” Al Nassr FC wrote in a Twitter post. The Asian club further claimed that the signing will ‘only inspire the club to achieve even greater success but will also inspire the league, nation and future generation.’

“Boys and girls will be inspired to be their best version. Welcome Cristiano to your new home AlNassrFC,” the club added on Twitter. The Saudi club also quoted Ronaldo who expressed his excitement over joining a ‘new football league in a different country.’

"I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia," Ronaldo was quoted by Al Nassr.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s new club has witnessed a massive surge in its popularity since the news about Ronaldo signing a deal with the club broke. Notably, Al Nassr had just 860k followers on Instagram till Friday evening, but since the reports about Ronaldo joining the club started floating around, the increase in followers witnessed a rapid increase. By the time of writing this copy, Al Nassr has 2.9 million followers.
Al Nassr is one of the oldest soccer clubs in Saudi Arabia. The team, which has won nine Saudi Premier League titles, is currently managed by Rudi Garcia, former manager of European clubs like Roma, Lille, and Olympique de Marseille.
