Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur was visibly disappointed as the Men in Green had countless poor fielding efforts against Afghanistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. After a decent bowling effort, the Afghans roared with the bat as they cruised towards the 283-run target set by Pakistan. The opening pair posted a flawless stand of 165 runs before Rahmanullah Gurbaz departed at the score of 65 against Shaheen Afridi.

But throughout the innings, Pakistan fielders had a horrid performance with many easy misses all around the field. Reacting to this effort, Mickey Arthur had an angry reaction as the camera panned towards the Pakistani dressing room.

Batting first, the Men in Green saw Abdullah Shafique ( 58 ) and Babar Azam (74) score crucial runs along with a couple of 40s from Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed. Whereas for Afghanistan, it was a dream World Cup debut for Noor Ahmed, who picked up three wicket while giving away 49 runs.
