Damian Lillard has been in headlines since he reportedly requested Portland Trail Blazers to be traded to the Miami Heat when it was claimed that Lillard's agent, Aaron Goodwin, was making every effort to get him there. Amid his trade rumors, the Portland guard shared a couple of cryptic posts on social media on Friday.
It is still unclear where Lillard will go, as various reports keep surfacing about the future of the Trailblazer’s point guard. Lillard has come under fire for allegedly trying to use his trade request to force his way into the Heat.
Tyler Herro, Miami's top trade asset, is apparently not something Portland is interested in buying, which is a significant barrier to a potential agreement with Miami. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Blazers have informed teams that they will only trade for Lillard if the return is the highest. Adrian added that Lillard's attention on Miami isn't having an impact on how other interested teams are handling the matter.
The 32-year-old point guard first tweeted, "I'm amazed."
Following his tweet, a fellow Twitter user asked Lillard the reason behind his amazement, he responded, "At how ppl could know so much and so little at the same time."
Although it's unclear to whom or to what Lillard is referring, one can't help but wonder if the 32-year-old is speaking about recent developments involving his NBA future.
Basketball enthusiasts have been discussing Lillard's plans for the upcoming NBA season for weeks. At the time of the draft, it wasn't apparent whether he want to remain in Portland or move somewhere to pursue a championship, but given his most recent trade request, it's safe to assume he has his sights set on the latter.
