American star point guard Damian Lillard has requested a trade from Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard was drafted by the Blazers in 2012 with the sixth pick and has since grown into one of the best players of the modern era.  As per reports, Lillard had a meeting with  Portland general manager Joe Cronin on June 26 to discuss the future of the team. The Blazers recently drafted top recruit Scoot Henderson as the third pick in the NBA 2023 draft.

The development was reported by ESPN's  Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski. The report said, " Damian Lillard has requested a trade and the franchise is expected to work to accommodate him. The Clippers, Heat and Spurs are among his preferred destinations."

If Lillard decided to leave the Blazers, the Oakland native caps off incredible 11 seasons which include seven All-Star and All-NBA team appearances. Talking about team success, Dame Dolla led Portland to a Western Conference finals appearance in 2018-19.
