Delhi Capitals continued their winning run in IPL 2025 after they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in match number 10 of the season at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The bowlers turned out to be match-winners for DC, especially Mitchell Starc as SRH were bowled out for 163 runs in 18.4 overs. In reply, DC chased the winning target in 16 overs, losing three wickets.

Coming to bat first after winning the toss, SRH didn’t get a good start as they lost four wickets for just 37 runs inside powerplay. After that, Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen added 77 runs for the fifth wicket. Klaasen got out after scoring 32(19) runs, while Aniket turned out to be a top scorer with 74(41) runs, hitting five fours and six sixes. However, none of the other batters could play a big inning as SRH couldn’t play full 20 overs. For DC, Mitchell Starc shone with the figures of 5/35, Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets, while Mohit Sharma put one in his bag.

Faf du Plessis smashes first 50 for DC

Chasing the winning target, Delhi Capitals got a flying start as Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk added 81 runs for the first wicket in 9.1 overs. McGurk got out after scoring 38(32) runs while Du Plessis went on to smash his first half-century in DC colours as he scored 50(27) runs, hitting three fours and three sixes.

KL Rahul also scored a quickfire 15(5) runs. After that, Abishek Porel (34* off 18) and Tristan Stubbs (21* off 14) gave finishing touches as DC chased the winning target in 16 overs with seven wickets in hand. For SRH, Zeeshan Ansari took all three wickets.
