Indian bowler, Deepak Chahar’s father Lokendra Singh Chahar suffered a brain stroke on Tuesday, 5 December. The 31-year-old’s father was rushed to a hospital in Aligarh and is currently under observation at the Mithraj Hospital.

According to reports as quoted in Dainik Jagran, Lokendra visited Aligarh to attend a wedding where he suffered the stroke. However, the Indian cricketer got to know about his father’s health on December 2 and immediately flew from Bengaluru to Delhi and reached Aligarh.

Dainik Jagran further informed that there hasn’t been much improvement in Lokendra Chahar’s health and the family is reportedly looking to shift him to Delhi or Agra. As per further information, Chahar’s father is also a diabetic patient and suffers from hypertension. His condition is currently critical and is in the ICU.

The Agra-born cricketer made a comeback in international cricket in the second ODI against Bangladesh in December 2022, he was also part of the recent India versus Australia T20I series. Although Chahar featured in only one match of the five-match series against Australia, conceding 44 runs in four overs with two scalps to his name. However, he missed the fifth T20I as he flew to Delhi due to father’s bad health.
