Sunrisers Hyderabad again got to a poor start as they lost both their openers early in the ongoing IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Coming to bat first after losing the toss, SRH lost Travis Head in the very first over as Mohammed Siraj struck first for GT after getting hit for two boundaries.
After a few overs, Mohammed Siraj struck again as he sent another SRH opener Abhishek Sharma back to the pavilion to give GT a second breakthrough in the fifth over. Abhishek was looking in good touch but ended up losing his wicket after scoring 18(16) runs with four boundaries. With this, Siraj also completed 100 career wickets in T20 cricket that too at his home ground in Hyderabad.
Fans troll SRH batters for getting out early against GT in IPL 2025
Batting first, SRH went on to lose three wickets for 50 runs in 7.2 overs with their top three batters including the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan getting out early again. Mohammed Siraj dismissed both the openers while Prasidh Krishna ended up taking Ishan Kishan’s wicket. After that, the fans came up with different reactions on social media, trolling SRH batters and praising Siraj for his bowling.
At the time of writing, SRH lost four wickets within 14 overs, with Nitish Kumar Reddy and Aniket Verma taking the innings forward.
