The former Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma might be featuring in his last match for the five-time champions when the side hosted the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 17. However, the speculations on Rohit’s last match with MI surfaced after he was last heard speaking with Abhishek Nayar ahead of their match against KKR in IPL 2024.

Although his future with MI is yet unknown, in the new video going viral on social media, the star batter was seen pleading to a cameraman. Ahead of the match against LSG, Rohit Sharma encountered a similar situation. In a conversation with Dhawal Kulkarni, Rohit noticed that someone was recording a video.

The 36-year-old was quick to notice and requested the person with folded hands as he said, “Bhai, audio band karo haan. Kasam se, ek audio ne mera waat laga diya hai.” This video has been doing rounds on social media and the incident follows Rohit’s recent chat with Abhishek Nayar.

In a video that went viral earlier, Rohit was heard saying, “Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai…. Who unke upar hai… Jo bhi hai who mera ghar hai bhai, who temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai. Bhai, mera kya mera to ye last hai.” While this conversation of Rohit with Abhishek Nayar sparked mixed reactions.

With the 2024 IPL edition over for the Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit Sharma ended having scored 417 runs from 14 innings at an average of 32.08 and a strike rate of 150.00. While scored 68 off 38 deliveries in what is speculated his last appearance in MI colours, his best score of unbeaten 105 came in MI’s losing cause.
