The English Football Association (FA) charged Plymouth boss Wayne Rooney for his alleged misconduct before and after being shown a red card. The incident took place during Plymouth’s 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Rooney was sent off after insulting the fourth official and returning to the pitch after his dismissal. In the game, Plymouth were leading 1-0 when the rivals scored an equaliser in the 86th minute of the game.
The former Manchester United and England forward was seen fuming at the fourth official, which led to the referee James Linington showing red card to Rooney. The 38-year-old then walked down the tunnel but came back on the pitch to celebrate another goal in the 97th minute from Morgan Whitaker, which eventually turned out to be a winner.

It's further alleged that his conduct after being dismissed was improper and/or violent. It's also alleged that by returning to the field of play after being dismissed his behaviour was improper."
