Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis has announced the release of his autobiography in his latest social media post. The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain took to Twitter to share that his book titled "Faf: Through Fire" will be released on October 28.

In a note to go by the announcement, the 38-year-old said that his life has been a closed book and he hasn't shared his journey with people outside his circle. However, he revealed that with this book, his fans will get the opportunity to have a peep into his journey.

"I’ve always been a closed book. I haven’t really shared my journey through life and cricket with the people outside of my circle. In three weeks, you will get to be a part of my circle," he wrote also sharing the pre-order links of the book.

Earlier another ex-Protea captain Graeme Smith, while airing his views on Du Plessis, had said that the latter is probably happy playing in T20 league around the world.

“South Africa have got an equation where they have to figure out what their best XI is. Faf du Plessis is still fit, retired from the longer formats of the game and it’s that challenge that India doesn’t face free agents,” former South African captain Graeme Smith had said earlier while speaking on Star Sports.

“Players are playing in leagues around the world. How much time can he give to South Africa in the lead-up to the World Cup? Do they pick him straight for the World Cup or should he part of the build-up where he understands the team culture, the thinking, training and preparing," he had added.

While Cricket South Africa have not added Du Plessis to their team for the T20 World Cup this year, many experts believe that they have the players which make them a dangerous side- one that can punch above their weight at the marquee event this year.
