The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India, who kickstarted the tournament on a disappointing note, suffering a 58-run defeat against New Zealand, lost their final Group A match against defending champions, Australia by nine runs at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in Sharjah.
After the loss, which has put their campaign in the Women’s T20 World Cup on a cusp, Manjrekar took to social media to congratulate the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side for a tough fight. This gesture by Manjrekar has left the netizens visibly upset, slamming the former cricketer for his words.
