The retired American professional boxer Floyd Mayweather showed off his financial prowess, spending $1.1 million on Super Bowl 2024 tickets, which is set to go down on Sunday, February 11. He purchased tickets for 34 people to experience the American football extravaganza for the first time while proving a point about him not begging for a Super Bowl suite.
The Super Bowl LVIII will be played between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The stakes are very high this Sunday for both teams, with the Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, eyeing their third championship win in five years, while the 49ers are looking to secure their first major title win since 1994.
Floyd Mayweather took to his official Instagram account to share a couple of pics about purchasing tickets for the Super Bowl LVIII for a whopping sum of money. The undefeated professional boxer also spoke about how he hasn’t begged for anything in his life, let alone for a Super Bowl suite, before revealing that he got his seats and suites for the upcoming game, where he will be accompanied by 34 people of his entourage.
“I don’t kiss ass and I never have to beg for nothing especially not to get a Super Bowl suite. I don’t mind accepting invites at times, but one things for sure...The person that’s paying does all the saying. Therefore I get My Own seats and suites so I can do what I want and invite who I want! I’m blessed to be taking 34 people to experience the 1st Super Bowl in Las Vegas! $1,131,000.00,” he wrote.
Known for betting a large sum of money on sports, Floyd Mayweather reportedly put $5.3 million on the Los Angeles Rams to win the Super Bowl LVI, which they won after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals by 23-20.
