Free Fire, the popular battle royale game, that was banned by the Indian government due to security reasons and rising tensions between India and China, is now officially back and is available to play in the country. The game’s return was announced on August 31 by Garena.

The game is now available for pre-registration for Android users and can be registered by simply visiting the Google Play Store. For iOS users, though, pre-registration is yet to commence in India.

Let’s know the step-by-step process to pre-register for Android users:

  • On your Android smartphone, launch the Google Play Store application.
  • Click here or perform a search for "Free Fire India."
  • Choose "Pre-register" from the menu.
  • Your Google account will be required to be signed in.
  • You will be able to pre-register for the game once you have signed in.

Some of India's most well-known sports figures, including Rahul Chaudhary of Kabaddi, Saina Nehwal, Sunil Chetri, Leander Paes, and  Mahendra Singh Dhoni , have been associated with Free Fire. New characters in the game inspired by well-known sports figures will be introduced thanks to the agreement. Along with adding the character known as "Thala" to the game, Garena also appointed MS Dhoni as the brand ambassador of Free Fire India.

The game is expected to be available to play from September 5 onward, according to Free Fire’s official social media handles. Free Fire is the perfect battle royale game to play on low-end devices, as the specifications required are quite low. It is an excellent substitute for phones that cannot run other high-end games like PUBG Mobile or BGMI.
