Former Indian cricketer and head coach of team India Rahul Dravid has turned 51 years old today. Dravid in his playing days has achieved several milestones and he has been considered one of the legendary batters in the international cricket arena, hence here in this article, we will have a look at five records that only Rahul Dravid has in any form of International cricket.

1. Only batsman to have faced more than 30,000 balls in Test cricket:

In Test cricket history only Rahul Dravid holds the record for facing more than 30,000 balls in this format. Interestingly, even the highest run-scorer of this format Sachin Tendulkar also hasn't faced 30,000-plus balls in his Test career so far.

2. Only player to have taken 210 catches as a fielder in Test cricket:

Rahul Dravid has been a brilliant slip fielder for India in his playing days and notably, he has the record for taking most catches as a fielder (210) in the history of Test cricket.

3. Only batsman to have batted more than 150 consecutive innings in International cricket without scoring a duck:

Rahul Dravid has been the only batsman to have played 173 consecutive innings in International cricket without scoring a duck in any form of the game starting from January 2000 to February 2004.

  • Sachin Tendulkar: 136 inns (2008-13)

4. Only player to have been involved in two different 300-plus run partnerships in ODIs:

Rahul Dravid was involved in the 318-run partnership with Sourav Ganguly against Sri Lanka in the 1999 WC and also later he was involved in the 331-run partnership with Sachin Tendulkar against New Zealand at Hyderabad in 1999.

5. Only batsman to have scored 250-plus runs in a Test innings on Rawalpindi venue:

Rahul Dravid during the 2004 tour of Pakistan recorded 270 runs in a Test innings against them at Rawalpindi, which still now stands as the highest Test score at that venue.
