Pakistan all-rounder Haris Rauf, who is currently playing his trade for Big Bash League (BBL) franchise, Melbourne Stars, walked out to bat without pads in the match against Sydney Thunder. The Glenn Maxwell-led side who took on the Thunder, suffered their third straight loss in the BBL 2023-24 on December 23 at the Lavington Sports Oval in Albury.

During their five-wicket loss, one noticeable incident came in the last over of the Stars inning. Ahead of the final ball of the inning, Haris Rauf walked out to bat without pads, all unprepared with gloves, bat and the helmet in hand. With Stars losing three wickets in three balls, Rauf was forced to take the field in a rush and in such a hurry the Pakistan pacer seemingly forgot to wear the pads. The video of this incident has been doing rounds on social media.

It is to be noted that Rauf did not get a chance to face any ball during his stay in the middle. However, he bowled three overs during the run chase, where he conceded 20 runs without taking any wickets.

Zaman Khan clean bowls Maxwell with a brilliant yorker

In another prominent instance, Thunder star bowler, Zaman Khan clean bowled Stars skipper Glenn Maxwell with a brilliant yorker. The Aussie all-rounder, who has always looked dangerous in the shortest format of the game, fell against Zaman’s brilliant spell.
