The lefty has a brilliant record against India, especially in the shortest format of the game. He was the man of the match in the T20 World Cup 2021 when he took three crucial wickets from KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli to help Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets for the first time in the history of the event.
The recently married Shaheen bowled well in the recent Asia Cup too, where he took four wickets in the first match against India in Pallekele, which included Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja. However, the rain decided to make an appearance, and the match was washed out without a result.
