In the ongoing season of the IPL, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have lost seven matches in eight, to find themselves firmly in the bottom of the points table. They have failed to put together a complete performance during the IPL 2024, with no player, except their talisman Virat Kohli, finding any consistency with the bat, ball, and in the field.
Despite that, RCB are still in the game with a chance to qualify through to the IPL 2024 Playoffs, but how can it happen? For that, SportsTiger explores the certain conditions that should be met.
Need to win their remaining matches
One of the primary needs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru to make the IPL 2024 playoffs is to win all their remaining six matches in the league stage of the tournament. Notably, in the history of the IPL, seven wins have proven to be enough on multiple occasions for teams to end up finishing in the top four.
Although, since the two new teams were introduced in the IPL from the 2022 season onwards, the fourth and final team reaching the playoffs needed eight wins. With that, there is no certainty in regard to seven wins proving to be enough for RCB to make the IPL 2024 playoffs, but they should be aiming for it regardless.
