Chennai Super Kings locked horns with Rajasthan Royals in match number 17 of the ongoing IPL 2023. However, the hosts CSK suffered to a close defeat at the hands of inaugural champions, as the former failed to chase the 176-run target in their 20 overs.

Adding to the loss, CSK skipper MS Dhoni felt that the batters need to step up for the side if they wish to win the games for the Chennai-based franchise. When asked on MS Dhoni’s 200 th IPL match as skipper, the 41-year-old said that he was unaware of this rare feat.
“I really didn’t know it was my 200 th (game as CSK skipper) and milestones don’t really matter for me, it is about how you’re performing and the results,” MS Dhoni said at the post-match presentation.
The CSK skipper like always added that these milestones and feats do not really matter to him. It is to be noted that the 41-year-old was earlier felicitated and was presented with a special memento by former ICC Chairman and former BCCI President N Srinivasan ahead of the start of the match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
