L akshya Sen  penned a heartfelt note reminiscing on his monumental Paris Olympics 2024 campaign where he missed out on a bronze medal. Sen showcased his manic talent as he pushed some of the world's best shuttlers like Victor Axelsen and Lee Zii Jia in his last two matches to limit. The 22-year-old also established himself as one of the rising superstars in the badminton world.

After losing to the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist in the semi-final, Lakshsya Sen suffered a crushing 21-12, 16-21, 11-21 defeat against Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia. Before these defeats, Sen took down  Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien in the quarterfinal and his fellow countryman HS Pranoy in the Round of 16.

Looking back at this journey, Sen shared, " My journey at the Paris 2024 Olympics has been both an honor and a heartbreak. I gave my all, fought with every ounce of strength, but fell just short of the podium.  I am very grateful to all the supporters for their unwavering support."

Sen also requested his fans and the media for some space and privacy as recovered after this global tournament. The 22-year-old further expressed gratitude towards his coaches, the federation and other stakeholders who supported him in this journey. 

"I am determined to reflect on what went wrong and where I need to improve. I sincerely request space and privacy at this time to regroup, come back stronger, and win laurels for India.  I am eternally grateful to my incredible team, Vimal Sir, Prakash Sir, my family, @Media_SAI, @BAI_Media, @ppbaindia,@OGQ_India, @redbullindia and everyone associated with my journey," he continued.
