Former Indian top-order batter and Member of Parliament, Gautam Gambhir made a startling claim about his cricket career in a recent interview. Gambhir is known to be an outspoken individual and doesn't shy away from being considered brazen.

Further talking about his outspoken quality, the Delhi cricketer was asked about his biggest regret in life in a recent interview. Coming up with another controversial take, Gambhir stated that he should not have been a cricketer.
"I should not have been a cricketer", said Gambhir while speaking in an episode of the Bada Bharat Talk Show Season 2. The question was part of a rapid-fire segment and Gambhir couldn't justify his response.

Gautam Gambhir also talked about the importance of former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan in India's 2011 triumph. While speaking on Star Sports, Gambhir talked about how Khan had top performer in big games and helped India win the World Cup.
Gambhir said, "We talk about Yuvraj Singh, MS' innings, my innings, but actually it was Zaheer Khan, who set us the entire tournament. You look at the spell against England where he got Andrew Strauss, you look at the spell at World Cup final. Five over four maidens, 1/1. That's how you set the tone. That's why I can't look beyond Jaspreet Bumrah if India has to...he has to have a A-tournament," Gautam Gambhir said on Star Sports.
