India’s promising names  Yashasvi Jaiswal  and Mohammed Siraj achieved new career highs with ICC’s latest MRF Tyres ICC Men's Test Player Ranking updates on Wednesday, July 26. Skipper Rohit Sharma jumped to the ninth spot in the latest ranking updates, courtesy his scores of 80 and 57 in the second Test against West Indies. Sharma is the only Indian batter in the top 10. Rohit is followed by names like Rishabh Pant, who after slipping from one spot sits on 12th spot with 743 points. 

Apart from them, former India skipper and batting star  Virat Kohli  continues to sit on the 14th spot, with a total of 733 points. Speaking of Jaiswal, who made it to headlines after scoring a ton in his first Test, jumped to 63rd spot. The 21-year-old achieved his best career ranking by jumping 10 spots, owing to his scores of 57 and 38 in the second Test.

The New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson continues to sit on the top spot, with Australia’s Marnus Labuschange rising three spots to number two after his 100 recently. Talking about bowlers, India seamer Mohammed Siraj jumped to his best ranking of 33rd spot after he shot up six places on the list of bowlers. 

Siraj picked a five-wicket haul during West Indies’ first inning in the second game . Siraj is trailed by Ravindra Jadeja on the number sixth position. The standings are led by Ravichandran Ashwin, followed by South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, and Australia captain Australia skipper Pat Cummins.
