On Thursday, May 16, Anthony Edwards revealed that he told the Denver locker room staff about returning to Ball Arena for game seven of the NBA Western Conference playoffs semifinals series following the conclusion of game five. His comments came after the Timberwolves demolished the Nuggets 115-70 in game six at the Target Center to level the series at 3-3.

In the must-win game six of the NBA Western Conference playoffs semifinals series for the Minnesota Timberwolves, the players brought their A-game to the court in front of their home fans. The win was set-up in the first quarter itself when the Timberwolves took a massive 31-14 lead over the Nuggets.

The unrelenting onslaught from the Minnesota Timberwolves continued right throughout the night at the Target Center, culminating in a massive 45-point victory after the last quarter went in their favour with a 29-9 margin against the Denver Nuggets. Anthony Edwards scored 27 points with four rebounds and four assists for the Timberwolves, while Jaden McDaniels chipped-in with 21 points of his own.

In the post-game press conference, when a reporter asked Anthony Edwards, “Did you really tell the locker room staffer in Denver you were going to be back for game 7?” He responded, “Hell yeah! They know. Y’all was in there. I told them, ‘I’ll see y’all m*****f****** for Game 7’.”
