After spending 10 years in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspurs, Harry Kane moved to Germany, joining Bayern Munich in August 2023. He had established himself as a club legend with Spurs, scoring 280 goals with the London-based club, however he was not able to win a single trophy with the team in his entire tenure. However, that does not undermine the quality Kane possesses as he has proven his mettle at Bayern Munich by settling effortlessly into a new club, country and environment altogether. In a recent interview with ESPN, Kane was asked about whether he wanted to return to the Premier League.

The reporter was asking about the English striker’s wish of returning to the Premier League in the near future to which Kane responded by saying, “I’m not sure. I’ve said throughout my whole career that I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I’m extremely happy here. I think we have a fantastic team and fantastic coaching staff here!” There have been a lot of trolls around Harry Kane’s first season at Bayern as the club went trophyless for the first since the 2011-2012 campaign, with fans joking about Kane transferring the ‘Spurs’ effect to Bayern.

Kane reaches 100+G/A within two seasons at Bayern

Nevertheless, Harry Kane’s sheer quality and goal-scoring prowess isn’t something that fans can criticise as he has already reached 100+G/A in his first two seasons at Bayern Munich. With Bayern leading the Bundesliga table with a six-point lead over Leverkusen, they are still well and alive in multiple competitions including the Champions League where they will be facing Inter Milan in the quarter-finals. They are also playing in the FIFA Club World Cup later this year, giving them a serious shot at winning some titles this year under Kompany.
