Internet sensation and Cristiano Ronaldo superfan IShowSpeed revealed the reason behind his visit to India while claiming that the Men in Blue will beat Pakistan in the highly anticipated clash. The former champions and cricketing arch-rivals will lock horns in the tournament on October 14, Saturday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 18-year-old's visit to India was kept under wraps and having him in the country has been nothing less than a surprise for the fans.
Speed, as fans call him, has been trending on all social media platforms ever since he landed in the country. Donning a Dhoti and Virat Kohli's jersey, the American YouTuber was spotted in India for a special reason. The streamer will attend the mouth-watering clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where he will root for his favourite cricketer.
Opening up on his excitement for the match as well as on being in India, Darren Jason Watkins Jr. aka Speed told Hindustan Times, “I am here because of Virat Kohli." He went on to say, “I want to see India beat Pakistan in the World Cup match tomorrow! I will be there at the stadium."
The rapper added, "I don’t follow cricket back home, but I follow Kohli. I want to meet him, and I am also excited to meet the Tunak Tunak guy (Daler Mehndi), I am just very excited bruh!”
This isn't the first that Speed has expressed his wish to meet his favourite sportsperson. Earlier this year, he met his favourite footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, and that picture alone has got more than 10 million likes on social media.
