Indian wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul is doubtful for the fifth Test against England in Dharamshala. Team India clinched the five-match series with a resounding performance in Ranchi where young guns Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel battled a tough Day 4 pitch to help the Men in Blue register a thrilling five-wicket win.

But ahead of the fourth Test, India were left short-handed with frontline pacer Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul out of the squad. Though Bumrah was rested as a precautionary measure, there was a major setback with Rahul's quadriceps injury which has kept the Karnataka star out for the majority of the series.

With Rahul's fitness still uncertain, the Board for Control of Cricket in India and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has decided to send the Lucknow Super Giants overseas. The report by Cricbuzz revealed that this trip to London would look for an expert opinion on his condition and has been under treatment for around a week since.

Jasprit Bumrah set to return for 5th Test

Moving away from KL Rahul, fellow absentee from the fourth Test, Jasprit Bumrah is slated to return to the Indian side for the final fixture in Dharamshala. With Bumrah's return, the team could rest a few other players with the series in the bag as per Cricbuzz. The Indian players have been asked to assemble in Chandigarh on March 2. The English players will reach Dharamsala via a chartered flight on March 3.
