The Indian cricket team will return to action after a month long break as they are set to host Bangladesh in two-match Test series, followed by three-match T20I series. While the men’s selection committee is yet to announce the squad for the upcoming tour, the centrally contracted players will be seen in action in the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25, starting September 5.
After the opening round of Duleep Trophy, Indian players will reportedly assemble in Chennai with their training beginning from September 12. With the first Test scheduled to kickstart from September 19, it is being reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to announce the squad after the conclusion of the opening round of the domestic tournament, which will conclude on September 8.
While all eyes will be set on Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, Mukesh Kumar , Shreyas Iyer, among others, many Test hopefuls such as Abhimanyu Easwaran, Devdutt Padikkal, R Sai Kishore, Yash Dayal will also be in action in domestic season opener.
