The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already produced some thrilling games. With the addition of two new teams, the tournament has become more intense and exciting. With almost one-third of the total games played, a rough idea about the top four teams is known by now. And Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders surely look like one of those four teams.

Meanwhile, the wooden spoon holders of IPL 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad have taken care of themselves after initial hiccups this season. They have won their last two games and will hope to continue the momentum. So, it will be interesting to see if SRH can overcome the KKR challenge to register their third win this season.

Here are some stats-based predictions for Match 25 of IPL 2022 where KKR and SRH will lock horns at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

1. Toss Prediction

The first and foremost thing to get started in a cricket game is getting the toss right. So, which team has an upper hand at winning the toss? Well, both teams have won four of their last five tosses. In IPL 2022, however, SRH have an upper hand having all of their four tosses so far. So, Kane Williamson will be the favorite to call it right at the toss one more time.

2. Win Possibility

This is the toughest thing to predict as any team can beat another on a given day, especially in IPL 2022. Looking at the head-to-head records in IPL, KKR and SRH have played against each other 21 times where Kolkata have enjoyed a 14-7 lead. The current form of both teams also gives KKR an upper hand. The Shreyas Iyer-led team have won three out of their last five games (all in IPL 2022) while SRH have won 2 out their last five games (4 in IPL 2022). So, clearly KKR are the favorites to win Friday's match.

3. Team of the day

Going by the current form and the kind of players both teams have, Kolkata Knight Riders are the team of the day.

4. Powerplay score

The average powerplay score at the Brabourne Stadium this season has been 53.3. The average powerplay score of KKR this season has been 43.3 while SRH's has been 33.3. So, taking these three things into account, KKR's powerplay score in Match 25 is expected to be over 45 runs while SRH's score is expected to remain under 40 runs.

5. Average first innings and second innings score

The average first innings score at Brabourne Stadium has been 194.2 while the average second innings score at the same venue has been 175.4. Now, the highest score posted by KKR in IPL 2022 has been 171 while SRH have managed 168 as their highest score this season. So, the first innings score for Match 25 is expected to be 175-180.
