There is very little doubt that the Indian Premier League is the biggest T20 tournament in the world. Not only in terms of the revenue it manages to cricket but even the quality of cricket it produces as well as the fan following it enjoys makes it the biggest cricketing spectacle on the planet.
While each franchise has its own loyal fanbase, there is one section of fans who have been right behind their favorite team despite everything. This team is none other than the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)- a side that is yet to win its maiden title in the competition but also a team that receives extraordinary love and support from its fans.
So passionate are their fans that they can go to any extent to support their side which will be led by Faf du Plessis this year. And now a demand of an RCB fan has gone viral on the internet. The fan wants the organisers including the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to consider RCB's star Glenn Maxwell as an Indian domestic talent so that they can play an extra overseas player in the team.
The unusual demand of considering the Australian cricketer as a local player comes after Maxwell married his Indian origin fiancée Vini Raman. "Dear @IPL can we play Maxwell as an Indian player? He is half Indian now," the picture of Maxwell and Vini in traditional Indian outfits from their Haldi ceremony was posted by this caption.
