The Mumbai Indians have been the most successful franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having won five titles. Rohit Sharma has been the leader of the Mumbai-based team and will hope to bounce back after a disappointing 2023 campaign. MI failed to qualify for the playoffs and was at the bottom of the table.
But on the contrary, the MI Paltan has managed to build a young core of players with the likes of Tilak Varma, Tim David, Tristan Stubbs and Dewald Brevis, who have shown flashes of brilliance throughout the season. Mumbai Indians will hopefully have Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah together creating one of the best bowling attacks in the tournament.
The Mumbai-based franchise will be missing their star finisher, Kieron Pollard, as the West Indian announced his retirement from the IPL. Now the 5-time champions will be making big moves in the upcoming auction to get back and contend for the title.
