The rumour mill hit an overdrive after Suryakumar Yadav posted a heart-break emoji on his X (formerly Twitter) account. But denying all these reports, a senior Mumbai Indians official confirmed that none of these players will leave the franchise.
As per Cricbuzz, the senior MI official said, "Rohit is not going anywhere, nor will any player. The news reports are totally fake and false. No MI player will be leaving us, nor will be traded by us. "
Talking about the decision to name Hardik Pandya captain, the official said, "Every player was taken into confidence before the decision was made. Rohit too was informed, and he is very much part of the decision-making process."

The report also confirmed that one of the Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals approached Mumbai Indians with a trade for Rohit. But MI rejected the offer, something even the interested franchise confirmed. "We would have given anything for Rohit, but we are no longer in the race," an official from one of those franchises confirmed.
