The highly anticipated IPL 2025 mega auction, which will decide the fate of 577 shortlisted players, is currently underway at the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With just 204 slots up for grabs, including 70 overseas ones, only a select few out of 367 Indian and 210 overseas players will be picked by the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams for the 2025 season. T Natrajan, who is one of the sought after Indian players in the mega auction, has been signed by Delhi Capitals for INR 10.75 Crore.
T Natarajan's IPL Career
After being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, T Natrajan registered himself for a base price of INR 2 Crore, following which the organising committee listed him in the Set 6 capped fast bowlers 1.T Natarajan is known for his excellent death bowling. He is famous for bowling accurate yorkers and using smart variations to trouble batters.
Natarajan began his IPL career in 2017 with Punjab Kings, playing six matches and taking two wickets. In January 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for INR 40 Lakh in the IPL auction. Since then, he has become one of the key players for the team. In the 2020 IPL edition, Natarajan had a breakthrough performance, picking up 16 wickets in 16 games. Over five seasons with them, he took 65 wickets.
The 33-year-old has played 61 IPL matches in total, taking 67 wickets with an economy of 8.83. Natarajan’s ability to bowl accurate yorkers in death overs and break partnerships in the middle overs makes him a valuable bowler.
